LOCATION: Frimley Park, Frimley Road, Hastings. Meet on Frimley Rd near the Park entrance. There is a children’s playground and some shady trees to stroll under.
A little earlier to avoid the hot part of the day.
Finishing up around 10am (ish) for a cuppa and a treat at the gorgeous Frimley Kitchen Café, http://little-frimley-kitchen.edan.io/. It’s a 2 min stroll from Frimley Park entrance, past the pool, and is situated at the end of the local block of shops. They have shaded outdoor seating suitable for keeping our furbabies coolish. Hounds, bring your café mat or stand awkwardly glaring at your human.
If you are coming from Napier and using the motorway to Omahu Rd to Frimley route, there have been roadworks around the café area and you may be slightly diverted from your GPS route, so allow extra time for this possible confusion!
We welcome ideas for our monthly adventures, so if you have a walk you’d like to share with other hounds and hoomans please let our Event Coordinator Maree know, we have 12 spots to fill every year!
GAP walks are open to all adopted greyhounds no matter where adopted from, their canine siblings from the same household, all other sighthounds and of course anyone considering adopting a greyhound through GAP. Please feel free to come along for a “pat and chat” session.
