Sunny (Ibiza Fling) is settling in very nicely. He and Penny (our Rottie) get on so well, they have not had one disagreement. Sunny is now a Canine Friends dog (pet therapy) and has had 2 visits to the Rest Home. He was very well behaved and the residents thought he was great. He is sitting nicely and also does a "wait€ before he eats his food. He mastered the dog door within 4 days and was house trained within 2 days.
I am a CGC (Canine Good Citizen) trainer at our local obedience club and am putting Sunny through the program. My Rottie is a CGC Gold dog. I have another Greyhound in my CGC class, his name is Cooper and is owned and trained by a young girl who has done a great job with him.
I also do Rally-O with Penny and decided to also do it with Sunny, he is progressing nicely and it also gives him a opportunity to socialise with other dogs. My husband walks both dogs every morning and he said Sunny is a dream to walk on the lead and stops and sits at every road crossing. (it helps that Penny is a good teacher).
