This was a nice walk back in March, so we're doing it again, meet at 10am.

Newstead Walkway - a stroll of about 40 mins it follows a stream for some of the way, with a few wooden bridges, as well as opening up to a nice eucalyptus grove and a field. There was a fallen tree to climb over last time but not difficult.  On return we'll head to Zenders cafe, about 4mins down the road.  Nice outdoor seating, umbrellas and dog bowls, and delicious coffee!

The entrance to the walkway is not well signposted so keep an eye out for the brown scenic places signpost "Newstead Walkway", it is located next to the the Hamilton Car Club premises. Parking is a bit limited, 5 official carparks, but there is space on the roadside as well.  Bring extra poo bags as there are no bins on site.

If you would like to join in on this walk please register to attend here:

We welcome ideas for our monthly adventures, so if you have a walk you’d like to share with other hounds and hoomans please let Heather know.

GAP walks are open to all adopted greyhounds no matter where adopted from, their canine siblings from the same household, all other sighthounds and of course anyone considering adopting a greyhound through GAP. Please feel free to come along for a “pat and chat” session.

Thanks to Roger & Raymond for hosting :)
