North Shore walk this month!
Greyhounds in the Auckland area walk on the 3rd Sunday of each month.
Make a day of our upcoming GAP walk on Sunday, 15 August visiting Browns Bay. Maybe have lunch at one of the many cafes in Browns Bay or visit their Sunday morning market.
Then join Dolly (Jetsun Swan) & Mary-Anne after lunch for a 45min-1hr walk around the Sherwood Reserve and Freyberg Park. This walk is suitable for all ages, flat surface on concrete paths.
1.45pm meet at the parking area between the 2 sportsfields at Freyberg Park, Browns Bay. NOTE: The entrance to the little road leading to the parking at these sportsfields is directly opposite the house numbered 17 Woodlands Crescent, Browns Bay.
We'll sign in for the walk and depart at 2pm sharp around Sherwood Reserve, pass by the eels and loop back to Freyberg Park.
Those keen to continue, we'll then walk 2 blocks to Browns Bay Beach where we'll stop in at The Stoned Cow Cafe for puppachino's and anything you may fancy for afternoon tea at 3pm (at your own cost). They may even have pupcakes for sale.

If you and your doggo's are keen on some more adventures, enjoy a leisurely stroll down the beach after puppachino's.
NOTE: this is an onlead walk. Keep an eye out for random free range dogs that are likely to be off lead in the reserve, park and on the beach as there may be members of the public walking their dogs at the same time. If your dog is unsure of other breeds please feel free to use a muzzle - safety first!
There are public toilets in Sherwood Reserve and at Browns Bay Beach, also lots of bins along the walk. Don't forget your poo bags.
If it rains and is too soggy for a walk, we'll just head to the Stoned Cow Cafe at 3pm instead. I've asked them to reserve space for 25 people (they would possibly be able to squeeze more of us in as its quite a large cafe), so a great opportunity for the hounds and their pawrents to meet up rain or shine.
