Greyhounds in the Auckland area walk on the 3rd Sunday of each month. This month we'll be meeting at The Farmhouse, 400 Papakura-Clevedon Road at 8:45am for a 9am start.
The walk will be along a 3 km farm track which is mostly flat with one or two small inclines - there is a shorter option for elderly hounds., note that it could be muddy if there has been rain - so wear appropriate shoes.
Parking - Plenty of parking - follow signs for additional parking behind farm sheds.
Cafe on site - lovely lawn, picnic tables and bean bags to enjoy a coffee and delicious food afterwards.
A litte about the venue: The Farmhouse is a rural coffee, bakery and ice cream shop located on a 140 acre farm, 5 minutes from Clevedon Village and 35 minutes south of Auckland City. "In a little white villa overlooking the Clevedon countryside, you can enjoy fresh, seasonal food, organic Kokako coffee, homemade ice cream, and a space to breathe easy and relax. At The Farmhouse we work consciously to minimise our waste, reduce our carbon footprint and care for our land, bees and environment. We are a super casual setting so we don't take table bookings however we have plenty of outdoor seating amongst our garden. Take a walk through the farm, say hello to our friendly animals and make yourself at home. Dogs are always welcome here!"
