Harker Reserve

Onewhero-Tuakau Bridge Road
Onewhero

Auckland Gappers are walking at 10:30am on Saturday, 27th April at the Harker Reserve at Onewhero. It's a 3km walking track through native bush and farmland, with views, streams and a waterfall (for those that choose to do the whole walk rather than the loop). The whole walk should take an hour and half (Inc waterfall). If doing just the loop then allow an hour.

The track is graded as easy walking but can be muddy in wet weather, with the descent to the waterfall base made up of stone steps so take care! If it's been raining heavily prior to the date of the walk the vennue will be chnaged as we don't want slips and slides for humans or doggos. The landowners have asked dogs on leash, keep to the track and please leave gates as they are found. Parking is at the Punt Hill entrance which is on the Onewhero-Tuakau Bridge Road approx 1km up the hill past the Tuakau Bridge. There will be a GAP flag so you will know where we are. See you there. It looks a beautiful walk and worth the trip. The lovely Jean will trim nails at the walk for a donation to GAP :)
