Come meet us at a very special Pat & Chat happening on Saturday the 25th of January at Animates Silverdale from 10 am - 2 pm.
Our Foster girl, Betty, was having a play when a tumble caused a catastrophic break of her back left ankle. Because the "break" was more of an explosion of the bone, the best way forward for Betty was determined to be amputation.
Amazing Betty is already getting back on her tri-paws and her vet says that she is healing well (and Betty has since has been adopted!!!), which is such GREYT news. However, we would appreciate any donation that you can give to help us cover the medical costs of the xrays, surgery, follow up appointments, and meds.
Over the next few weeks the awesome team at Animates Silverdale is going to be fundraising for Betty and on the 25th we are going to be there (along with our volunteers and some friendly pet greyhounds) to chat with you all about greyhound owndership, fostering, volunteering, and specifically to answer any questions about how charities like us are challenged by large medical bills and how you can help. We will even have a houndy or two with us who are looking for their cozy future on their very own furever couch and would love to meet you.
