Join Us for Our February Community Walk!

Sunday, 23rd February 10:00am Gum Loop Track, 164 Hine Road, Wainuiomata

Come along for a gentle 2.8km stroll through beautiful native bush and gum trees! We’ll meet in the car park at the end of Hine Road, by the Garden of Remembrance.

About the Walk: Over half of the track is shaded by lush bush, but some parts are along a private road that can be quite sunny. If it’s a hot day, don’t forget to bring water and a cool coat for your hound! More info about the track here: https://www.wellingtonnz.com/visit/trails/gums-loop-walk

Got Spare Gear? If you have any spare coats, collars, leads, beds, or other gear you’d like to donate to GAP, feel free to bring them along! You can give them to Devo’s human, Claire Regnault, at the walk.

All Are Welcome: Our community walks are open to:

  • Retired greyhounds (no matter where they were adopted from)
  • ALL sighthounds and other dogs from the same household
  • Anyone interested in adopting a greyhound – this is a great opportunity to meet the hounds and chat with their humans about greyhound ownership!

We kindly ask that all hounds stay on lead during our meetups and walks.

Whether you’re a longtime greyhound lover or just curious about these gentle companions, we’d love to see you there!

Come walk with us and enjoy the outdoors!
