Meet James – A Loyal Boy Looking for Someone Special

James is a 6-year-old greyhound with a huge heart, a wonderful sense of humour, and a love of life that shines through every day. This handsome boy is looking for a very special home—one that sees beyond his medical needs and recognises the incredible companion waiting to become part of the family.

James has epilepsy, which is successfully managed with medication costing approximately $250 per month. As long as he receives his medication twice daily, he's just like any other greyhound—enjoying his walks, snoozing the day away, and soaking up all the love and attention he can get.

Having already spent several years as a much-loved pet, James is well and truly used to the retired life but due to a change in circumstances he's looking for a new family to call his own. He understands home routines, loves his creature comforts, and is an affectionate boy who enjoys hugs, companionship, and being close to his people.

If James could tell you about himself, he'd probably spend most of the conversation talking about rabbits. He loves rabbit toys, dreams about rabbits and keeps a watchful eye out the window for rabbits. It's safe to say rabbits are one of his greatest passions!

James has worked hard on his dog reactivity and has made significant improvements through training. While he's generally comfortable around other greyhounds, he can still become anxious or overexcited around some dogs on walks. Because of this, he would benefit from an experienced owner who can continue supporting him and helping him build confidence.

Despite a few challenges, James remains a loyal, loving, and wonderfully entertaining companion. He asks for very little in return—just a patient family willing to give him the chance he deserves.
