Meet High – Easygoing, Charming, and Full of Character

GAP is assisting High’s current family in finding him a new home due to a change in circumstances. High remains in their care in Dunedin while we help with his rehoming.

High is a striking red brindle boy with a calm, easygoing nature and just the right touch of goofiness. At seven years old, he’s settled beautifully into pet life and brings a relaxed, friendly energy wherever he goes. He’s unflappable in most situations — confident in new environments, happy meeting new people, and adored by everyone he meets on his walks.

Despite his laid-back personality, High still loves his adventures. He looks forward to his twice-daily walks and enjoys a good set of zoomies. He even runs happily alongside a bike and loves car rides, often poking his nose out the window to take in the world. He’s also comfortable being left alone for several hours and is content snoozing in the car if you need to pop out.

High is excellent with children and has been calm and tolerant even when surrounded by little ones eager for pats. However, he isn’t suitable for a home with cats, as he still finds them a bit too tempting to chase. At home he’s tidy, well-mannered, and appreciates his routine. He does have some mild incontinence which has been checked by a vet and no underlying health issues identified. It's currently managed with regular toilet breaks and monitoring.

This lovely, low-maintenance boy will make an ideal companion for someone seeking a calm, affectionate greyhound with plenty of life and personality. High comes with all his belongings — coats, leads, muzzle, crate, and more — and is ready to bring warmth, laughter, and his signature charm to his new home.
