Bailey Bob-Tail

An update from Bailey's foster Mum:

Bailey is very , very sweet. He’s starting to settle in and is watching how Snoop plays with toys curiously. We’ve been practising play.

I’ve taken him out for two walks and he’s done really well, doesn’t pull on the lead, leans into me but he’ll learn space. He was curious about other dogs in the distance but didn’t react or bark or whine, I think being with Snoop helps him. My initial thoughts are he would do well with another doggie friend and with older kids. He’s met two kids aged 11/13 and he was good, happy to be patted and was friendly. Not sure about younger kids yet.

He asks for pats and loves a cuddle, especially in the morning. His house training is coming along well. He’s learning inside and outside and has taken himself off to toilet outside since yesterday.

He doesn’t whine or bark at night, he is very quiet. Loves his crate = happy, safe place . Eats pretty well, prefers small breakfast and larger dinner . Tummy seems to be tolerating new food like eggs, yogurt, cooked chicken and veges , and treats. He is a very gentle and sweet boy.

Staff favourite Bailey Bob-Tail is a gentle natured soul who is little for a boy greyhound.

We think Bailey would be happiest in a home where he would get to keep you company for much of the day.

Bailey is a bit of a patchwork hound, with a bull-terrier-esque Roman nose and a Doberman-esque docked tail (that wiggles when he wees), and floppy ears like Dobby the house elf.

If you're looking for a little black shadow of a dog who leans in for cuddles, has a goofy playful side, and a soft sensitive side, then Bailey may be the hound for you.
