Lovie

Eddie is a bit like a big puppy; playful and ready for fun, but ultimately still cautious and sensitive as he's adjusting to pet life. He'd suit a family who are confident with dogs and willing to put some time in to helping Eddie navigate life as a retired race dog.

He was fairly shy in the kennels but has taken to pet life like a pro, currently he's at foster with a family and a female hound who has been very motherly teaching Eddie all about going up and down stairs. He'd easily fit into a home with another hound and he's been good with older kids.

Eddie is super affectionate and likes his pats and cuddles. He'd liked a home who will take him out for plenty of walks and adventures as he has more energy than your average hound. He has heaps of potential and loves his toys and food which can be used as rewards in training.

We think Eddie would be happy holding down the fort while you're at work during the day. He can be independent and takes himself off to spend time pottering around in the garden and doesn't need to be in the same room as you. He loves being outdoors.

Eddie is not quite sure what to make of all of these non-greyhound shaped creatures and is still brushing up on his social skills around other dogs. He is impressing us with his training, but for now he will need to be an on lead dog in public.
