Scotty
Hi guys Scotty here,
Gosh what a few adventures I have been having recently. I have moved up the North Island to see if my forever family are up there. I have been in the programme for so long now I really do need and want a new home by Christmas.
I am a well-behaved boy, house trained, walk nicely on the lead and am well socialised with other dogs. I am a fun dog to have around and love a zoom around the big dog paddock and love to roll in the long grass.
I wold like to go to a home with people who don’t work too long as I sometimes get a bit bored left on my own, another dog would be fantastic but I would prefer not a yappy small thing!
If you like the sound and look of our Mr Scotty please give the Levin Kennels a call we will be delighted to hear from you.
Update from foster Dec 13/14
My name is Scotty and at the moment I am living in foster care with human Bono, fellow greyhound “Cash” and 15 year old border collie X “Sam”.
I love getting up early in the morning to eat my breakfast and then head out for a walk to investigate my surroundings. I really like lazying around on my very soft dog bed during the day, and in between have a play and a zoom around the back yard with my fellow canines. But my most favorite thing is to lay and snooze on the back seat of Bono's truck.
I do have a black coat so I get hot quite quickly and then enjoy a soft splash & dip in the water whole which is conveniently placed in the back of my foster carers garden.
I was a successful racing hound and now am still learning to be a good citizen pet dog. I am very clever though and I do understand what Bono means when saying: “ Come”, “ Bed” , “Toilet”, “Stop”, “Go” (on the lead), and “Off”.
I really like to be with humans, they are fun and so I get a little anxious when left behind for hours.
I am looking for a caring family who wants to spend time with me, walk, play or just lazy around. I promise I will wake my new handler(s) every morning with my wet, cold nose if they let me and will promise to be a loving and loyal friend as long as you show me the reigns in a positive, calm and confident way.
I will still need a little training, learning to play with little furry animals as I am sometimes a bit boisterous. But unfortunately I am not overly fond of cats.
Bono really likes me, but we had a good old talk and there are other foster hounds who need to learn to become good citizen pet dogs, so it is time for me to find my loving forever home.
Yours forever hopeful
Scotty
