January 14th - Sweetpea is a Sweetie!
Happy New Year! I've been having a ball with my foster family, they say I'm just lovely, a real 'Sweetie'! I overheard that I'm gentle, funny, good on the lead, if I need reminding about something just a verbal grrr and I'll listen, I'm very affectionate, I love playing, love kids, I'm good with other dogs, and cats, until they run, so will need reminding of that. I've just discovered treats, I've been too busy learning things before, but oh boy, are they great, when I'm out and about, I use my wee muzzle as a table, and zoom them up! I love toys and don't destroy them. I am a people dog. I thrive on plenty of exercise, so someone who gets out and about and wants some company, I'm it!
December 26th update
I'm having a vacation in Te Aroha. My welcoming foster home, have a Rotti, Doberman and another Greyhound, so I'm having a ball. I've learnt heaps in the short time I've been here. My foster mum says I love the water and I play in the wetland swamp, I come out looking like a wild banshee as I dash out of the rushes, for a mad zoom around. My foster mum thinks it would be great for any prospective owner to come for a walk with us, to see how I am and to get the feel for me better! I love exercising, and need someone who is active and walks.
I am great with kids, and fine with strangers, I learning to walk quietly on a lead, but its all just so exciting, so that is something I need to practise. My trainer commented I was too slow to race, but I'm a Champion eater! How rude!
