Bella

Our new girl Ella (was Bella). We picked her up a week ago from the Sanson Kennel. She wriggled her way into our hearts the moment we met her. She's only just finished racing, but has picked up being an inside dog very quickly. Photos are of her in her first 'pjs'; wearing a t-shirt her 'Nana'
(my mother-in-law) got her, and with her first toy. The farting pig was an instant hit, but the squeaky duck has overtaken as favorite. We've been lucky as so far no 'accidents' inside, no chewing things when left alone and she loves her food. It's all been pretty easy so far and we're sure we made the right choice getting a greyhound. The stairs were a bit tricky for her at first, but she now gallops up no trouble. The hardest bit has been not fussing over her two much as she settles in. We've got a long way to go with training, but she already knows not to beg for food when we're eating and to stay out if our bedroom. For now, we've decided the temptation of the kitchen would be too much for a hound that loves to eat so much, so we put a baby gate up. We've managed to see her interact with two lots of other greyhounds over the week which she clearly enjoyed, so really looking forward to the next GAP event in the Wellington area.
