After some thought we decided to change Red's name to Ruby and she's responding to it quite happily. We have discovered that she is very intelligent and works things out quickly. We have had to child proof the kitchen to stop her getting into the cupboards, bin etc. She has revealed 'magpie' tendencies and appears to be an accomplished thief, which is quite amusing because of the strange and random items she takes. She is most definitely still a daddy's girl and follows Mark all over. We are working on getting a bit of weight on her and her appetite is improving well. She's loving all the meaty treats from the Mad Butcher.
Bit by bit, day by day, she is getting more relaxed but we know there's still a way to go. We are in the process of getting her into a dog training school but it's looking like it will be January before we can enrol her. By then we will all be used to each other.
She is a lovely dog and we adore her. It was without doubt the best decision when we chose her, or did she choose us!
