Letter from Gracie Hello Everyone. I’m Gracie Rose. And now that I have my bearings I can bring you up-to-date with how things are going with my New Family (Staff). I can tell you that it’s been interesting (if you know what I mean – dog to dog!) For instance –Astro the Greyhound in Residence (GIR) and that’s with an exclamation mark, is an absolute Loon. Then there’s his offsider Mr Spurs the 3- legged cat. Mr Spurs tells me he got his injury while hunting rabbits, but got caught in a gin trap instead. (Neighbourly sort of place this.) He’s one tough character but we’ve hit if off – he did the hitting. We’re now great mates – sort of have to be don’t you? Yes, I believe Mr Spurs and I are the ‘Thinkers’ here and Master Astro is well – Astro. The Jetsons springs to mind – very apt name for him. But I love it here – I’ve have lots and lots of cuddles, lovely food, excellent bedding, nice walks and now that I’m used to my new surroundings – I’m a very relaxed, happy and playful Princess Gracie! Thank you Sonja, Irene and Robyn and also to my previous owner for giving me the opportunity to have a new home. PS: For the life of me I can’t work out why I’ve been nicknamed Pooh. What a comedown from ‘Princess’. Astro and I were invited to a lovely party at Maxi the Taxi’s and Izzie’s place. And while we were having a lovely run in the paddock I took the opportunity to apply some wonderfully green Eau du Equine to my shoulders and neck area (as you do). It must have done the trick because Astro lay down all breathless on us. He’s been gazing at me adoringly ever since …..
