Meet Barry

Barry is a lovely boy with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He is perfectly behaved in his kennel and gets on wonderfully with his kennelmates. Barry loves going out for walks, exploring new places and soaking up all the attention he can. He is very friendly, affectionate and enjoys playing with toys in his downtime.

During his assessment, Barry was very excited when he met the assessor’s dog, and his body did go a little stiff at first. With more positive interactions and ongoing practice, he will continue to improve. Overall, Barry did well through his assessments and has shown great progress.

Although Barry has come a long way and is doing really well with calm, respectful dogs, he can become a bit wound up when another dog charges up to him. Because of this, he will need a home that understands his needs and is willing to keep working with him so he can continue to grow in confidence.

Barry would suit a family or couple with previous dog experience—people who can guide him, support him and enjoy all the love he has to give. This gorgeous boy is ready for his next chapter and will make a wonderful companion.
