Meet Darryl

This handsome man is ready to meet his new family.

Darryl is a gentle old soul who enjoys the finer things in life. He likes socialising with other hounds and made good friends with the assessor's dog.

He does enjoy going out on walks—not too long, but just enough to experience new places and surroundings. Darryl perks up when he hears the sound of children and will often want to investigate where the noise is coming from. While he may appear confident initially, he can become a little shy in new environments, so it’s recommended to take things at a slow pace until he feels comfortable.

Darryl does like to let you know when he’s excited to see you. He can be vocal from time to time, but he usually settles once he sees you, and he calms down quickly once out of his kennel.

He does settle nicely when it’s time to relax, remaining quiet and keeping his kennel space immaculate.

Darryl’s ideal home would be with a family who work from home or a household with older children who can keep him company during the day. He wouldn’t mind living with another dog, but would prefer a calm companion, as he is on the older side and enjoys a quiet, comfortable home environment.

Darryl is ready to move on to his new family and is excited to explore all the new experiences life has to offer.
