Meet Laura – Quietly Confident and Gentle

Laura is a girl with personality. She knows her own mind and brings a strong presence wherever she goes — but that same confident nature sits alongside a genuine love of affection.

She enjoys pats, cuddles, and spending time with her people, and when she’s in the mood she happily leans into attention. Laura is also very food motivated, which can make training and relationship building rewarding and fun.

On walks, Laura is a strong dog on lead and will benefit from continued guidance to help her learn to walk more sensibly. She is currently easier to manage on a harness while she continues to develop better lead manners.

Laura is in foster care with other greyhounds and has shown that she appreciates having her space. If another dog gets too close or pushes into her bubble, she can be a little grouchy about it. As she decompresses further into home life, we’re hoping to see her relax more around other dogs and will continue learning about her preferences.

Laura would suit a home that appreciates a dog with character — someone who enjoys both her bold personality and her affectionate side, and who is happy to help her continue learning good walking habits.
