Meet Luciana (Luci) – Bright, Curious, and Finding Her Feet

Luci is a beautiful small blue girl who has only just arrived in the rehoming kennels and is still taking it all in. She’s a curious, alert hound with a lot of interest in the world around her, and you can see her brain ticking as she explores new sights, sounds, and routines. There’s a lot of potential here, and as she settles, more of her personality is already starting to peek through.

Out on walks, Luci moves along nicely and enjoys being out and about. She does a bit of zig-zagging at the moment as she takes everything in, but this is already improving and is expected to smooth out with consistency and familiarity. Her energy currently reads as more anxious-excited than boisterous, and she responds well once things feel predictable.

With other dogs, Luci can be quick and enthusiastic in her initial greetings, particularly when movement is involved. She may rush in keenly to say hello, but once she understands the situation, she settles well and remains calm. She’s shown a good ability to regulate after that first burst of excitement, and with continued exposure and guidance, this is likely to keep improving.

Luci will do best in a home that’s happy to go gently at the start, keep her world fairly small, and help her build confidence through routine and reassurance. With time, she’s expected to grow into a lovely, engaged companion who just needs a little space to find her balance.
