Meet Olive – Gentle, Reserved, and Steady

Olive is a gentle wee soul with a soft nature. In the kennels she is settled, quiet, and easy to care for — tidy with her bed, polite at mealtimes, and never demanding. She does carry a touch of anxiety, which you may notice when she meets new people, as she sometimes prefers to retreat and take things slowly. Olive is also working towards a healthier weight, so her new family will need to continue supporting her on her journey.

Olive prefers her world on the peaceful side. She can feel insecure around other dogs and may give a small grouch to let them know she needs space. Because of this, she’ll be happiest as the only dog in her home, where she can truly relax and enjoy one-on-one attention. Despite this, she walks beautifully alongside other dogs and enjoys calm, respectful company. She isn’t suited to dog parks or off-lead play, preferring instead the security of structured walks and relaxed environments. With cats, Olive has been gentle and non-reactive, showing herself to be cat-trainable.

Olive will benefit from having a confident, consistent owner. With time, patience, and gentle reassurance, Olive will blossom into a devoted companion who finds joy in the calm and simple moments of everyday life.
