Yumi
Meet Yumi – Cheeky, Playful, and Full of Joy Yumi is a bright, affectionate girl with a huge personality and a wonderfully cheeky streak. Now settling into foster care, she’s showing just how much she loves being part of a home — especially when there are toys involved. She’s proudly claimed the Christmas elves as her own and delights in carrying her treasures around with glee. Light on her feet and full of sparkle, Yumi often prances about on her “twinkle toes,” bringing a smile to everyone around her.
She adores human company, leaning in for cuddles and happily inserting herself into whatever’s going on. While generally well mannered, Yumi can get a little carried away when she’s excited, sometimes spinning or bouncing with enthusiasm. Because of this, she’ll be best suited to a home without very young children, where she has space and support to continue learning how to regulate her excitement.
Yumi is social with other dogs and adjusts her energy well when out walking with both large and small companions. Yumi has been assessed as cat-trainable and has previously lived in a home with a cat (with separation in place). While she showed the foundations needed, she found it challenging to fully settle during that transition, and the presence of a cat may have been a contributing factor. If placed in a home with a cat, she would need very slow, gradual introductions and adopters with the time and patience to support her settling process.
With her affectionate nature, playful spirit, and mischievous charm, Yumi is a delightful girl who will bring warmth, laughter, and a bit of sass to the right home.
