Update on Zena (Tina - Cawbourne Tina)

Zena  has made herself at home and taken over all Wolf's toys and beds. A very loving girl - very playful and energetic!  Loves to help gardening, great if you want to plant  large trees! It has taken a while to build her confidence with new situations, other dogs, lawnmowers and Guy Fawkes crackers . They reduced her to a quivering wreck in spite of all the normal precautions.(I hate them too.)

She is however a good guard dog. Woke me in the early hours of the morning with a fearsome  growling and barking! Got up, checked, could not find the cause so back to bed. That did not stop her so let her outside. Whatever there was, it had vanished. Next night the same performance so we both went outside. Nothing there, back to bed. Next night a repeat performance so I let her outside. I stayed in bed. The barking changed tone so out I went and there she was cornering a very dangerous Hedgehog! I'm now  expert at catching hedgehogs and relocating them.

We've had our first Outreach visit. She is very good with people but I was a little concerned how she would react with unfamiliar dogs.  She was fine, the presence of the other two greyhounds helped I am sure. We both enjoy the beach.  Zen loves bouncing around in the surf retrieving sticks for me to throw again.  She's a good companion - known by the neighbours as 'the pretty girl'.

Many thanks for choosing her.
