Update on Storm (Cheeky - unraced)

Just wanted to let you know how much we love our beautiful greyhound!

She has been with us now for 3 months and we can't imagine life without her.  The first couple of weeks she wore her 'tail thong' (tail wrapped tightly under bottom) but every day her tail seems to get higher and higher and her smile gets wider.

She discovered the beach over Xmas and while not too keen on the water loved having lots of 'zoomies' up and down the sand and showing off to everyone. Her recall is excellent, fuelled by plenty of treats in the early days of training.

She is very friendly with every dog we meet and has become a best friend of Zippy (the Westie)   and Annie (the Lab)- my parents dogs.  I have been amazed at the number of comments and questions we get about her- people are fascinated, especially it seems, the older gentlemen.

My 3 kids love her and she has been awesomely patient and gentle with them. I discovered my twin girls (6 year olds) had dressed her in their pink cardigan the other day, which she happily wore out for walkies.  Clearly she has a sense for colour and fashion.

Xmas was also a first for an ice-cream cone at McDonalds. She loved it and gave me an extra special leg nudge to say thanks.  It took us a while to figure out how she ever got the name 'Cheeky' (she was just so shy and timid at first), but now we know!  We discovered that she has a taste for hot drinks (?) and have learned not to leave our coffees anywhere within her reach, she has made herself right at home on our beds and likes to follow everyone (visitors included) into the bathroom (something we are trying to discourage).

Thank you GAP & Kaye & Ray for our awesome dog!

Kind regards

Andrea
