We have been lucky enough to be sent some background of Lola's Life Before Gap by her breeder Garrick McCarthy. Thanks heaps Garrick. It's awesome to hear more about Lola's life.

Lola was pure white at birth so we thought she was albino and would have some problems with eyesight or deafness etc, but she was fine. She did develop some darker spots on her ears in time. As she was white and Hene and Leo Laagland's place has dark soil, she was always tough to keep clean. A few laps around the paddock and she was covered but when she raced at Wanganui, after going to Don Kettlewell's and Neville Phillips', she always looked the brightest of whites.
Chasing Shadows (Lola's sister and open class bitch) will carry on the line as she is set to go to stud dog Path to Power and that looks an exciting matchup! We can't wait to see how they go on the track.
Her mother is Flo (Flojo Flyer - pictured right). I'm really proud of my girl Flo as she is a gem around the house and with my 11-month-old son Blake. Lola has inherited her easy-going charm and love of pats and cuddles! The whole litter have fantastic temperaments.
