Kylee Remington from Nelson has sent in this update on Jake (Spiral Ebony)
Our boy is fantastic! When we first got him he did some very funny things. When he came home he thought he could walk through windows and he also jumped onto the coffee table and thought he was pretty cool. He then attempted the kitchen bench too! These days he's not so adventurous. He LOVES to sleep in odd positions, dream, dribble, eat and go for walkies and he always makes us laugh.
He gets along great with small fluffy dogs and if they will play, boy does he love that! He really likes it when he sees a greyhound or a whippet he just knows and loves to say hi. Most of the time he remembers to bring along his 'ears' on walks which is good because he can be off lead heaps, even though he just potters along behind me! Unless we are at the beach where he loves to splash in the water.
I have found him a dream to train, he is obedient and he does some tricks too, like hi-fives, hugs, and rolls over - if he isn't quite sure what one we want him to do, he does them all just to make sure he gets his treat!
I love how he will hop up on the bed in the mornings for a cuddle and how warm he is with his soft ears.
Life wouldn't be the same without our boy and I can't imagine how we coped without him before he came to us. I can't wait to get more hounds. They are just the best pets :-)!
