Benny's Angel won 11 of her 107 starts and was placed in another 27. Trained in Darfield she now lives in Bishopsdale with Anna and Chris and their young family. Anna writes:
Growing up I had always had a dog, however my husband hadn't. So after 4 ½ years of fast talking he finally agreed that we could get a dog. By this stage we had 2 small boys and I was NOT interested in getting a puppy, we wanted a dog that enjoyed a walk and would also be fine around children. I had heard about GAP so made some enquiries.
We have been blessed with an angel - yes that's right Angel is the newest addition to the family - what a great choice we made! She is a beautiful red brindle with what we refer to as "tiger€ stripes. From the moment she came home she has been the dream dog. We have had no 'accidents' inside, she lets us know if she wants to go out and has even learnt to bang the back door when she wants to come inside. Angel has adapted to life with small children extremely well she is vey tolerant and even manages to look interested when they take their trains to play with her.
Angel certainly enjoys her food, and I appreciated her help in cleaning up the floor after mealtimes, this is balanced by her love of a short run with Chris or a more measured family walk. She is thriving on company and just wants to be wherever we are. We had lovingly made a bed for her but she has decided that the children's fold out couch works better for her, and has even convinced Chris that a dog sleeping in the bedroom isn't a bad idea.
Our Greyhound Angel has made the perfect family pet, with her lovely gentle nature, and somewhat cheeky opportunistic personality she has settled into our home. The people at GAP were very friendly and interested in helping us get the right dog for our family, the process itself was easy and we would recommend owning a greyhound to anyone that asks
