Taranaki supporter Kim Stevens donates promo doggie beds

For those who have participated in GAP promotional and fundraising events you will know that sooner or later our couch potato friends will want to have a lie down. Usually this is sooner rather than later. You may also know that sometimes it is a bit of a pain dragging doggie beds to and from events only for the next person rostered on to do the same thing.

Kim Stevens, ably supported by her husband Graeme and daughter Kyra (yes I was bribed to put the extra names in), had a brilliant idea. That idea was to donate a couple of spare doggie beds to the local group so no one had to drag beds back and forth. The "brilliant€ part of the idea was that the beds came with photo prints of local hounds and the GAP logo sewn onto them. So not only could the hounds rest in comfort but when not in use they were a billboard, albeit a horizontal one, for GAP, plus they have the added advantage of showing actual hounds that have been rehomed in the region.

On the couple of occasions we have used them they have received plenty of favourable comment and it's been great to show both the photo and the real life version of the hound standing or sleeping alongside. Many thanks to Kim and the rest of the Stevens family.
