This month 'Hibiscus Hounds' were invited to promote ourselves at the first Open Day of '4DogSake' Doggy Daycare Centre which is on the little road to 'Snow Planet', Silverdale. Only adoption dogs were invited i.e. GAP, Council Shelter dogs and SPCA. The 'Hibiscus (30 mins north of Auckland on the East Coast) Hounds' currently comprise of 9 local GAPPERS plus 6 lovely out-of-town honorary members and we meet up at weekends for a local walk along the Orewa Beach followed by, most importantly, coffee for the humans!
The weather was really wet on the Open Day but our valiant hounds soon made themselves comfy on the sofas (under cover) and were keen to show what adorable laid-back smoochers they were and a relaxing time was had by all! Here is a pic of Koby (Greywinds Koby) wowing a couple of visitors with his charms. Two of our group already attend the daycare centre and enjoy the stimulating atmosphere along with the agility training classes!
Since the Open Day we have already done one successful homecheck with a local family who are looking forward to getting their new GAP hound and joining the group!
