In my Textiles Technology class last year, one of our assignments was to produce a design for a garment that promoted a business or organization. Our teacher told us that we should choose a topic that was close to our hearts to make the project genuine. I knew exactly what organization I was going to use - Greyhounds as Pets!

After adopting our first greyhound, GAP seemed like a friendly and helpful organization. They were. I contacted Jacqui Eyley and she gave me the permission to use GAP's logo and change it how I wished. I drew up some concepts and we eventually decided on one design - a sleek greyhound that I would screen print onto the t shirt. Thanks to the Art Department at school this was a quick and painless process. With specialist fabric ink, stencils of my design and all the equipment I needed, the prints were quickly completed. Three t-shirts, one for Jacqui and two for my mum and a friend, both of them GAP supporters.
T-shirts completed, we sent them off to be worn. The assignment was a total success and I am very glad that I had the opportunity to work with GAP. I hope whoever inherits my t- shirt gets plenty of enjoyment and compliments!!
