He's a bit afraid of our three cats, and will back away slowly until he's out of claw range. The cats are slowly coming round to accepting him.

We considered adopting a second hound not long after adopting Archie for company, but couldn't figure out where we'd fit another hound sized bed, so adopted our little Cocker Spaniel Tess about six weeks after Archie. They've become fast friends and happily share a bed, their dinner with each other and a ball.
