Successful Mufti day at Clarkville School

There are just over 200 children at Clarkville School, just north of the Waimakariri river in the South Island.  Kieran Sinclair-Lomax (my son, aged 9) and the fabulous Muldoon (Admit Nothing) of Riccarton Market fame (thanks for the borrow Gemma Smith) and the newly rehomed Oscar, joined in with new mum Tracy, for an amazing donations collection.

Having lost Jacob (Team Jacob) in May to neurological issues we have stood back from full-on GAP duties, but still go on walks and take part in events. Kieran had a school pathways project that included 'giving and service' and it was his choice to ask if the student council would allow him to hold a mufti-day in honour of his dog, for GAP.  They said yes, and poster making and plans began, and this was the result - $294 and lots of cuddles.   We hope it comes to good use. It was an amazing lesson for him and he felt so good and proud. We challenge anyone at any school to do the same and make a difference to these wonderful, loyal, lazy and gentle dogs!
